How do you decorate a Nautical Bathroom? Let's do it!

You may have heard us talk about the new house Ashley is currently building for her family. That's why their family of 5 is currently living in the basement of the Anchor Woman, Kim's house! It's mass chaos the majority of the time but it's a special time for making memories and being creative together! So here's one of our most recent projects on deck...

You all know that we love everything about the water so it was important to bring that to life in the new home as well. Nautical decor should be both welcoming and vibrant. Nautical bathroom decor should provide the peace and serenity one feels when they are spending time by the ocean, the lake, or poolside. It's like creating that paradise within the home. Nautical-themed decor has become really popular over the last few decades and continues to show up in decor styles across the world.

We've been working on the design for the nautical bathroom in Ashley's new house! Her two youngest boys, Chaz & Crew, will have a Jack & Jill style bathroom and we are having so much fun designing it. We've brought in some nautical touches with anchors, oars, rope, and the sunshine to accent the traditional color palette for a nautical theme, blues & whites.

We love the detail that each element brings to this ocean-inspired look. One of our favorite excursions on the lake is to take a pontoon ride at sunset to see the beauty of the colors setting over the water, which made this amazing sunshine over the waves shower curtain the perfect solution for our lake-style bathroom. As you know the art of ropework and nautical knots is an important element in the nautical world so we love that the handtowel holder brought in the rope look.

Our features for this Nautical-inspired bathroom:

We purchased a beautiful watercolor sign from @awakeyoursoulwatercolor (find them on Instagram) or at www.AwakeYourSoulWatercolor.com. This sign utilizes the watercolor paint to represent the waves of the ocean and the saying reminds them that the very same God who created the mountains, oceans, and galaxies created each of them. Isn't it amazing? We are so blessed with each of these boys and can't imagine the world without them. There are so many days on earth that we need to be reminded of this very truth, we want them to remember this forever.

We will update you with the finished pics once it's done but currently, the pieces are just starting to come together and it's going to look amazing! We can't wait to show you the finished product! Target completion timeframe: Mid-August! (Fingers crossed!)

Anchor down,
