Are you drawing a blank? Father’s Day is around the corner and just like every year, we have to think hard to come up with ideas that the dads in our lives would truly enjoy. Men are hard to buy for . . . especially dads. If they want something, they typically just go buy it. Can we get an Amen to that?!
We took the opportunity to survey some dads in our inner circle in order to provide some credible insight on meaningful gifts to our anchor crew (that’s you). Of course, the number one idea was time spent together or doing an activity. Isn’t that just like a dad to not want anyone to spend their hard earned money on them? With that said, taking your dad to lunch or dinner, an afternoon at Top Golf, or spending the day fishing or hiking would be a great way to show your appreciation for all he has done for you. We are all about spending quality time doing what Dad likes to do, but we like to show him a little extra love with a gift. So, we are sharing the other ideas that the dads we interviewed mentioned. We hope you find these ideas helpful and something that your dad would appreciate.
These loafers are super comfortable... and they are all the rage currently. From toddlers to adults, men and women... everyone is rocking these. The anchorman received them as a Christmas gift and has bought 2 more pairs since. He loves them so much!
2. Blackstone Griddle- super hot, nearly sold out everywhere!
We have one of these at the lake and at home and we absolutely love being able to cook a lot of food on them at once. We cook 20 pancakes, 20 burgers, stir fry, philly cheese steaks, all at one time on this big griddle. They're super easy to cook on and cooking in bulk is a major benefit. It's a win-win for everyone! These are sold out pretty much everywhere currently. But we did find this one available now.
Our men LOVE to smoke and grill food on the Traeger and Pit Boss. We highly recommend this MEATER thermometer that monitors the internal temperature while cooking on your mobile device via bluetooth. For the innovative chef, this is a great gift!
4. Apple Airpods or Jabra Elite 85t (for Android Users)
We're avid apple users but the Anchorman refuses to make the switch and he's still on Android. We highly recommend a good set of the newest noise cancelling earbuds from Apple or the Jabra Elite for Android users.
5. Chief's Hat - or other Favorite Logo/Team
We absolutely love these fun sun hats for men featuring their favorite NFL team. They're super fun hawaiian-themed underneath, but the best part is that they provide protection from the sun.
These awesome flip flops feature a fun beach sunset art on them. They come in solid basic colors if you're Dad isn't up for a spin on style... or they have some seasonal colors and designs like these. Every member of our family owns Reefs because they're comfortable, durable, and they don't slip around when wet by the water.
We gifted this to our grandson, Colt, for Christmas. The anchorman loved it so much, he purchased one for himself! These are super high quality video and photos that download to your phone. They are so handy and compact making them easy to transport and carry.
Use this digital notebook to take notes, sketch drawings, and more on-the-go, then use an app to scan them into any of the popular cloud services like Google drive, Dropbox, Evernote, box, OneNote, Slack, iCloud, email and more using the free Rocketbook application for iOS and Android. It's so simple and easy, you can even categorize them, send them to multiple locations and so much more. These are light-weight, wipe clean and super simple to use. Innovation at it's best. Traveling light is best!
Yeti coolers are the toughest, highest-performing waterproof and leakproof coolers on the market. You really can't beat a good Yeti cooler and this small, portable one is so great to have for road trips, a couple hours on the water, or for a picnic or potluck dinner. We are loving this navy colored design they currently have featured everywhere, because it just looks sharp and happens to incorporate our main Anchored Style brand color. Throw in a couple of the Yeti ice packs and your ready to roll!
10. Titleist Pro V1 Golf Balls - or other good name brand like Callaway
These are the anchorman's favorite golf balls so they're always his go to recommended gift. He says they are something every golfer wants to hit, but doesn’t usually want to spend the money on. We don't know anything about golf but he seems to think these do the trick for his game... so we will go with it.
Father's Day is June 20th this year. If you are planning an activity that needs a reservation, you need to get that done right away. And, if you are ordering a gift on-line, shipping is taking longer these days, so you will need to get it on order as well. In any case, we hope you are able to take the time to honor all of the father figures in your lives on this special day carved out for them.
