For all our water loving people who just want dinner to cook itself so we can have just one more hour on the dock, or one more hour at the beach, here is a recipe that is going to have you saying Merci! Merci! (Thank You in French) to The Anchored Style! Literally, this meal entrée nearly cooks itself. The prep effort is practically non-existent. This recipe was given to us by our great friend, Michelle, so we cannot take credit for inventing it, but we will take credit for sharing it with you. :)
After breakfast, we will assemble the ingredients for this meal into the crockpot and head out onto the lake for an entire afternoon of playtime. When we come back into the house with a hungry and worn out bunch, all we have to do is throw a few steak fries into the oven, shred the meat, and plate the sandwiches. We are telling you the truth when we say that this provides a meal that is easy-peasy and melt in your mouth delicious!

Crock-pot French Dip Sandwiches
INGREDIENTS:
2 chuck roasts (approx 4-6 lbs of meat)
1 packet Au Jus Gravy
1 packet Ranch seasoning
1 can Campbell's beef consommé soup
1 can Campbell's French onion soup
Sliced Provolone cheese
Hoagie style buns
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place roasts (one on top of the other) in the crockpot. (They can even be frozen!)
Sprinkle Au Jus and Ranch packet ingredients over the roasts.
Pour French onion soup and consommé soup in.
Cook on low for 6-7 hours until easy to pull apart.
When finished cooking, remove the meat from the crockpot and shred it with two forks.
Reserve the liquid in the crockpot to serve in small individual dishes as the Au Jus dipping sauce.
To assemble sandwiches, simply fill bun with shredded meat, top with provolone cheese, and dip in au jus. Enjoy!
RECIPE TIP: We recommend the Pepperidge Farm soft white hoagie rolls (shown in the ingredients image). They are super soft to start with, and when you dip them into the Aus Jus, it is perfection!

For all the busy mommas out there in our Anchored Crew, we know you will be wishing that all meals could be this easy! Hopefully, you will find this meal to be a hit with your family and you can work it into your monthly rotation and get a few more hours of enjoying days on the water with the people you love the most.
Bon Appetit!
